Become a Mentor

Mentors play a vital leadership role by guiding individuals in helping them reach their full potential. Mentoring benefits both people taking part. Dedicating just 12 hours over six months can make a significant impact on someone's life.

• You have worked for at least 5 years in a marketing field
• You are willing to dedicate a total of 12 hours over 6 months (approximately 2 hour/month) to share your industry knowledge and networking expertise with 1 newcomer mentee on a 1:1 basis
• You have a desire to give back and develop professionally
• Available in-person and/or online

• Advance your coaching, management, and leadership skills
• Accelerate your cross-cultural communication skills
• Enhance your reputation as an Advisor and Guide for others
• The satisfaction of giving back by passing on experience to help marketing professionals advance their careers in Canada
• A deeper appreciation for the value you bring
• Grow your professional network

We would like you to share some aspects of your background so that, should you prefer, we can do our best to match you with a mentor from a similar background. Research has shown that mentors with similar backgrounds are more likely to understand and help mentees address challenges and barriers specific to their situation.

It will be kept confidential and retained for the duration of the mentorship period, and then deleted. If you choose not to provide this information, you are still eligible to participate in the program (subject to the eligibility criteria listed above)
