Become a Mentee

You’re an early to mid career marketer, seeking to expand your career perspective and experience. You may be looking for guidance to navigate new challenges, or expose yourself to new challenges and career growth opportunities

A mentor can provide answers to your questions and provide insights from their own experience. By connecting you with a mentor who understands your professional background and possesses unique insights from their career, you can gain valuable guidance to grow your career journey effectively.

Mentees will be selected from CMA Member companies. Newcomers to Canada are also invited to apply as part of the CMA Newcomer Program sponsored by TD

• You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive marketing experience
• Available in-person and online
• You can dedicate a total of 12 hours over 6 months (approximately 30 minutes each week or 2 hours per month) for mentorship discussion

• Enhance your personal development
• Understand the marketing industry trends
• Increase confidence and self awareness
• Develop effective job search and interview strategies
• Build your local professional network
• Create strong job and project on-boarding strategies
• Coach you on effective communications, cultural norms and etiquettes

Research has shown that mentors with similar backgrounds are more likely to understand and help mentees address challenges and barriers specific to their situation.
